Η Cameron Diaz δείχνει την κακιά πλευρά της στο set του Annie She's portraying one of the most nasty characters in musical theatre history. And whilst the stunning Cameron Diaz was far from haggard in her portrayal of Miss Hannigan on Wednesday, she most definitely brought out her mean and nasty side as she hurled a pink blanket from a balcony. It was on the New York City set of the latest remake of Annie that the 41-year-old actress pulled an array of angry faces guaranteed to scare any orphan in sight. Cameron's version of the bitter old orphanage owner was far sexier than Carol Burnett's, and deliberately so by the looks of things. She wore ripped dark green skinny jeans that boasted more holes than actual fabric, which were tucked into the top of vicious looking black ankle boots covered with sharp silver studs. A white fishnet shirt was topped with another very hole-happy grey sweatshirt, which was in turn topped with a black and white bat-wing style cardigan. Chunky jewellery decorated the Bad Teacher star's neck and enormous hoop earrings cemented her outdated urban-chic look. Black nail polish added a little scary factor to the grungy ensemble, but the scariest thing of all was no doubt her expert angry face. Cameron scowled as she hurled the pink piece of fabric with all her might off the edge of the balcony on the side of typical New York-style external fire escape. An angry monster is precisely what she was attempting to portray, with her character Miss Hannigan being the very thing that makes little Annie's life hell. The remake, produced by Jay-Z and Will Smith, stars Quvenzhané Wallis in the title role, with the ten-year-old youngster having been filming for several weeks now. Jamie Foxx plays millionaire Benjamin Stacks - the movie's equivalent to 'Daddy' Warbucks with Rose Byrne as his assistant. Directed by Will Gluck and based on a screenplay by Emma Thompson, the film was originally set to star Willow Smith as the famous orphan. It is thought that Jay-Z - a long time fan of the 1982 musical - will be providing some original music for the film. 'When the TV version [of Annie] came on, I was drawn to it,' he once revealed. 'It was the struggle of this poor kid in this environment and how her life changed... It immediately resonated.' The original musical is based on the Harold Gray comic strip, Little Orphan Annie, which made its debut in 1924. The Broadway musical opened in 1977 and won seven Tonys. The feature film based on the musical opened in theatres in 1982 and starred Aileen Quinn as Annie, Albert Finney as Daddy Warbucks and also featured Tim Curry and Bernadette Peters.
