Purpose: The purpose of this lab is to determine which breakfast foods contain the most carbohydrates,
protein, and fat.
Materials:
 Food labels from 6 common breakfast foods
 Graph paper
 Colored pencils
Procedure:
1. Examine the 6 food labels
2. In table 1, record the amount of total carbohydrate, protein, and total fat in grams for each
breakfast food.
3. Using the information in table 1 and colored pencils, make a bar graph for each foods contents
of carbohydrates, protein and fats.
4. Answer the conclusion questions.
