Job description:
Software Developer (new graduate or with a few years experience)
The Company:
MACS Software Limited, a leading developer of software specialising in
improving the efficiency and management of logistics companies
worldwide.
Position:
Full time Software developer, based in Lutterworth (adjacent to junction 20
of the M1 motorway). The position is a diverse role that will allow
successful applicants to be involved in the full software development
lifecycle of various products.
Requirements:
An excellent programmer (preferably degree qualified) specialising in .net
(C#). Strong database skills (SQL) are a must. Web technologies experience
desirable eg ASP.net, Silverlight, Web services, WCF.
Responsibilities:






Development of application software to pre-written specifications using MACS standard
libraries and programming techniques
Production of associated documentation i.e. program notes, user instructions, database
definitions
System testing of product developed prior to handover
Other tasks associated with the running of the business e.g. reporting, data migration,
testing (test complete experience desirable), site visits, and documentation etc.
Assistance in the support of MACS application software in the field
To work to the company management system at all times e.g. ISO9001
What we offer:

Salary: £18-25K dependent on experience.
Holidays: Initially 20 days, rising by 1 day per annum with each year of service up to a
maximum of 24 days. Plus statutory bank holidays.
