arithmetic and problem solving skills
necessary to be prepared for algebra 1.
Successful students, who have mastered
essential TEKS, will be well prepared
for ALGEBRA I next year.

*Daily assignments can be redone, in homework hall, by the
next class day for a max grade
of 70%
*Quiz grades can be replaced by
a higher unit test grade
*Tests can be corrected on a
correction form within a week for
½ of the missed points back for
a grade no higher than a 70
*Extra credit will be added at the
end of the 9 weeks to the lowest
quiz grade

Parents, please be a positive influence in
your child’s math experience. If you let
them know that you believe everyone can
be successful in math, your child will
believe it, too. Help your child connect
math to the real world. As you and your
child go to the store, bank, or restaurant,
point out ways people use math on bills,
deposit slips, or menus. Encourage your
child to solve problems and let them
discover the answers on their own. Again,
welcome to your seventh grade math
class!
