Safa Class: Boys and Girls (4-5 years) **Qur’an: The children carried on learning Surah الكوثرAl-Kawthar. Teacher Omaima also revised all the Surahs that have been given so far. The old Surahs are: الفاتحةAl-Fatiha, الناسAl-Nass, اإلخالصAl-Ikhlas and Surah الفلقAl-Falaq Please keep working with your children on the learning and understanding of these Surahs, so they don’t forget them. Please use the Quran apps that are mentioned in the weekly parent’s tasks to help your children learn Quran. **Arabic Language Session: Teacher Batool went briefly through the Arabic alphabet nasheed. Children spent a while enjoying making craft practising letter ع Before home time the children listened to a story about the importance of truthfulness. **Weekly tasks for parents: Please make sure that your child spends time writing and practising the Arabic alphabet letters that they have already learnt and try to highlight them when they read Qur’an as well for practise. What the reasons that is behind the Prophet Mohammad (SAW)to be an orphan. Then how his granddad looked after him after he lost his mother. Describe his childhood and how he lived between his people and family. The children revised Al-Salawat Al-Ibrahimia with their teacher to memorise it. **Activities: Teacher Faida told the children the story about the childhood of the Prophet Mohammad (SAW) and his visit to Medina with his mother. Thank you. **Qur'an: Teacher Hanadi revised the first 9 Ayahs from Surah التكويرSurah (Al Takweer). Teacher Hanadi added more 5 new Ayahs from the Surah with Tajweed until Ayah 14. They have to learn and memorise the new Ayahs with Tajweed at home every day for at least 10/20 minutes+ to enable them learning and memorising them properly. The rule of Meem and Noon Mushaddadah م, ) نGunnah) has been given and we practised it together. **Kalimah Tayyeba: (Islamic Studies) Teacher Bilal then covered the lesson 7 from the curriculum book which talks about the following topics: The importance of Salat: where he talked about the Salat as the second Pillar of Islamic Pillars and Islam is built on Salat, about its importance as method of direct communication with Allah and also how success is lies in Salat. The benefits of Salat: here the teacher covered the benefits which the Muslim will gain from Salat, such as protection from evil and washing our sins enrich our souls and help us to be humble. The abandoning of Salat: in this topic teacher Bilal covered what the meaning of abandoning of Salat and the main consequences of it. The children learnt that the abandoning of Salat means that the person will be disobeying Allah, he will be ungrateful fro Allah’s favour and he will be stigmatized as a lazy and hypocrite. **Activities: Teacher Bilal worked with the children through the activity relating to the topic of Salat in the activity book. **Weekly tasks for parents: Please encourage your child to truthfully perform ( صالةSalat,) read Quran and do their remembrance of Allah. Work with them to learn and memorise the new Ayahs from Surah AlTakweer until Ayah 14 with Tajweed. Memorise the 3 Surahs Al-Nazea’at , Abassa nad Al –Takweer if they want to enter the Quran Competition. Please make sure that your children practise and listen to the Surah daily. More new 4 Ayahs have been given from the Surah with Tajweed until Ayah 20 with Tajweed. Teacher Asmaa covered 2 new rules from the Tajweed rules; the Iqlab and the Qlqalah. All the girls practised theses rules one by one. Please ask you girls to read more about these rules ant try to apply them in their Quran reading and memorising. They have to learn and memorise the new Ayahs with Tajweed at home every day for at least 10/20 minutes+ to enable them to learn and memorise them properly. ** Kalimah Tayyeba: (Islamic Studies) We will try from now and forward to connect the lesson with science and study more about the connection between Quran and Science. In connection with the last topic “the intentions and deeds” that covered in the previous session teacher Nadia and teacher Asmaa covered an interesting topic about the Miracle of Heart in Quran and the theory about “DOES THE HEART THINK??” The topic was covered by a very interesting presentation and this is the summary of the presentation: Aims of lesson: To make the students be aware of the assumption that the heart can think. To make the students be aware of the latest research results in the heart science. To help the students make a connection between the Quran and science. Learning outcomes (By the end of the lesson the student will be able to): To enable learners to: Understand the latest discoveries in the science that support the hypothesis of the heart intelligence stated in Quran and Hadith. Development of skills in analysis of arguments of scientific findings Activities: Section-1: FACTS ABOUT THE HUMAN HEART o Verified the physiological actualities about the human heart (its position in our body, size, function, and importance) Section-2: DOES THE HEART THINK? o Explained the Quran, the Hadith, and the human views in the role(s) of the heart o Explained some of the findings in the research of the heart thinking capabilities o Described the effect of heart transplantation on the recipients o Displayed a video showing some stories of heart recipients and the clinical/scientific reasoning behind their weird experiences Section-3: BRAIN THINKING vs. HEART THINKING o Discussed the opinions of the students in the intelligence of the heart and their future thinking tactics. **Activities: In the last half an hour teacher Asmaa covered the story of People of Thamood (Prophet Saleh ’s People) and the Miracle of the Camel. Teacher Asmaa talked in details about the features of the Camel that was sent by Allah to people of Saleh. How they disobeyed Allah and prevented the Camel to drink or eat and finally they killed it. **Weekly tasks for parents: Please encourage your daughter to truthfully perform ( صالةSalat,) read Quran and do their remembrance of Allah. Work with them to learn and memorise the entire Surah Abasa with Tajweed. Please make sure that your girls practise and listen to the Surah daily.
