Resolution #1 – Ensure the system has a “dedicated” video card with min
256 MB RAM. (Note : Due to inadequate performance of the majority of built-in video chipsets, 3D
Image Review requires an add-in video card. Most onboard video chipsets, particularly those from Intel,
handle OpenGL calls poorly).
Resolution #2 – Turn off hardware acceleration on the video driver and update the
drivers to the latest version available for the video card. We typically have AMD ATI
Radeon drivers and the utility from this link will auto detect and install the updated
drivers for you

Resolution #3 Change Windows XP workstation boot.ini to allocate 3GB of virtual
address space to applications.
Caution
Adding the 3GB switch to the boot.ini file in Windows XP SP1 can cause Windows not to start.

This switch forces x86-based systems to allocate 3 GB of virtual address space to programs and
1 GB to the kernel and to executive components. A program must be designed to take advantage
of the additional memory address space. With this switch, user mode programs can access 3 GB
of memory instead of the usual 2 GB that Windows allocates to user mode programs. The switch
moves the starting point of kernel memory to 3 GB.

Save a Backup Copy of Boot.ini
1. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
-orClick Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl, and then click OK.
2. On the Advanced tab, click Settings under Startup and Recovery.
3. Under System Startup, click Edit. This opens the file in Notepad ready for editing.
4. In Notepad, click File on the Menu bar, and then click Save As.
5. Right click in an empty area of the Save As dialog box, point to New in the context menu, and then click Folder.
6. Type a name for the new folder, for example temp, and then press the ENTER key to create the folder named temp.
7. Double-click the new folder named temp, and then click the Save button to save a backup copy of the Boot.ini file.

Edit the Boot.ini File
To view and edit the Boot.ini file:
1. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.

2. On the Advanced tab, click Settings under Startup and Recovery.
3. Under System Startup, click Edit.

Right-click Command Prompt in the Accessories program group of the Start menu. Click Run as Administrator.
At the command prompt, enter "bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVa 3072"
Restart the computer.
