Survey Release Message

Dear colleagues,

I am writing today to ask for your participation in a survey of all business center employees. We are conducting this survey to get a better understanding of employee morale, satisfaction and engagement. We want to know how you feel about your experience as part of the OSU Shared

Services organization (comprised of all business centers). We want to find out what you think we are doing well and where we need to improve as a workplace. Your opinions are important, and can help guide us on our road to organizational excellence.

This link Organizational Excellence, will take you to the survey which should take about 15-20 minutes to complete. It is anonymous and confidential. We are not asking for your name, and are not recording any information that can personally identify you. Your responses to the survey will be combined with those from other employees and provided as aggregated data to managers of our business centers.

Within the next couple of months – following compilation of the data – we will share the results so you can see for yourself how we are doing. We will also meet with groups to discuss action plans to make improvements. So, please be sure to share your thoughts by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 16 th – that is when the survey closes. We would like to get 100% participation in order to ensure that each and every business center employee's voice is heard.

Thank you for your time and providing candid input. Your thoughtfulness and honesty are critical to your business center and all of OSU Shared Services in our quest for continuous improvement and organizational excellence.

Sincerely,

Post Survey Thank You Message

Dear colleagues,

Thank you for your time and candor in responding to our Employee Survey which closed on June

16 th . The 72.3% response rate was very good and the results demonstrate that we are passionate about the success of our business centers!

In this anonymous survey we asked for your opinions on career development, strategic management, supervision, work environment, and your sense of connectedness to OSU and your business center. The results from this survey will enable us to have a more accurate picture of how you (as a group) feel about these important elements of your work life, and how we can best work together to realize OSU’s vision of being a Top 10 Land Grant University.

The results have been compiled at an aggregate level only thus far – that is to say we’ve begun looking at the results as compiled for ALL business centers combined. Over the next few weeks, we will look at the results for each business center, and schedule meetings with business center staff to share statistical results of their survey. We’ll discuss areas for improvement as well as those to celebrate. Taking what we learn from the survey and discussions within business centers, we will develop an action plan to address key issues and ensure follow-through and communication.

We are grateful for your feedback which will help guide us on our road to organizational
