DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM:
This is an update to the omnibus ECR to the PHY I02 specification. Additional changes include
updates/clarifications to fidelity requirements for legacy SC-QAM channels, informative text for Maximum
Scheduled Minislots (MSM), updates and clarification to Proactive Network Maintenance requirements, additional
definitions, and various editorial corrections.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF REVISION
Version 5: Updated/Corrected Figures 7-34 and 7-36;edited Section 7.5.14.1; incorporated agreed edits to sections
7.4.3.2, 7.5.14.1, and 7.5.16.2.5; corrected definition for Upstream Channel; changed subject of some requirements
from non-CM and non-CMTS to CM or CMTS as appropriate; incorporated additional edits to section 9; updated
[SCTE 03] references to [SCTE MRP]; added detail to section 1.5; updated legacy SC-QAM fidelity requirements;
added Maximum Scheduled Minislots informative text; updated Proactive Network Maintenance requirements;
replaced Minislot pilot patterns graphics (Figures 7-33 - 7-36) with Visio diagrams; added definitions for OFDMA
Channel Bandwidth and OFDM Channel Bandwidth; updated the DOCSIS Architecture diagram; clarified and
updated NCP parameters descriptions and requirements; various editorial corrections and clarification
Version 6: “Informational clarifications to standard and extended upstream frequency range terms, vendor-specific
configurability of CM upstream upper frequency, subcarriers counted by Next Codeword Pointers, other minor
editorial updates.”
