From Grade 8 through to senior levels, students learn art foundations including: using a range of different materials, processes and equipment; technical and creative skill development; knowledge of design principles; and developing their own visual voices. Every person is capable of becoming an accomplished image maker, and Kalamalka Secondary Art students have a reputation for excellence and high achievement! This is a class open to any 11 or 12 student without prerequisite. It is a focus on films of different genres (Sci-fi, Comedy, War, Thriller/Horror, Coming of Age, Apocalyptic, Film Noir/Mystery) with a look at the old and new of each. We will learn critical thinking and writing as we watch the movies offered.
