King City High School Athletics King City High School Athletic Program Philosophy Athletic activities are: Vital to the positive social, physical, and educational development of students. An integral part of a comprehensive high school program. A privilege to be enjoyed by those students who demonstrate the qualities of good citizenship and sound academic performance. Athletic activities are in place to: Help the individual student develop a healthy self-concept and a healthy body. Encourage leadership, use of initiative and good judgment. Develop habits and interests which will enable participants to use their leisure time in the best interest of themselves and their community. Have our student athletes experience the joy and satisfaction which comes from winning on the field, but not at the expense of character development, good sportsmanship, physical well-being, positive self-esteem, and personal academic success. Most sports have off-season/year-round conditioning and skill development opportunities. Contact Coach or Athletic Director for dates and times.
