Plant biotechnology symposium offers latest developments, career advice
More than 150 graduate students, postdoctoral trainees, undergraduate students and
faculty members attended the Fourth Annual Plant Biotechnology for Health and
Sustainability Symposium held Oct. 9-10 on the MSU campus.
Three NatSci faculty members named MSU Foundation Professors
Michigan State University honored three College of Natural Science faculty members
with the designation of MSU Foundation Professor, in recognition of their exceptional
contributions to research and instruction.
Grant to help increase biofuel yield while limiting fertilizer use
MSU scientists Sarah Evans, Lisa Tiemann, Maren Friesen and Jim Cole will use a $5
million DOE grant to better understand how biofuel crops acquire nitrogen.
