your faith? Faith isn’t
a one-time thing you
have but it grows and
changes over time.
Our experiences, the
things we go through
in life, may either grow
our faith or destroy it.
Series Memory Verse:
Faith is the confidence that what we
hope for will actually happen; it gives
us assurance about things we
cannot see. Hebrews 11:1
Faith Begins with the Big Bang of _________

So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about
Christ. Romans 10:17
When we hear the good news of salvation and believe it,
faith is born!
Faith, Like Life, Begins _____________
“You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if
you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this
mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing
would be impossible. Matthew 17:20

Jesus said, “What is the Kingdom of God like? How can I illustrate it?
It is like a tiny mustard seed that a man planted in a garden; it grows
and becomes a tree, and the birds make nests in its branches.”
Luke 13:18-19
Like the mustard seed, our faith is meant to grow into
something large and powerful.
The Evolution of Faith Happens Through

What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but
don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone?
James 1:14
So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds,
it is dead and useless. James 1:17
If we truly have faith, it will produce life-change.
Turn to 2 Peter 1
May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your
knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. 2 Peter 1:2
By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a
godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him…
2 Peter 1:3
In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises.
Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence,
and moral excellence with knowledge, and knowledge with selfcontrol, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance
with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly
affection with love for everyone. 2 Peter 1:5-7
We grow in our faith in Christ by increasing in morality,
knowledge, self-control, patience, godliness and love.

The more you grow like this, the more productive and useful you will
be in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But those who fail to
develop in this way are shortsighted or blind, forgetting that they have
been cleansed from their old sins. 2 Peter 1:8-9
Why do people lose faith? Because they forget to grow.
You already know these things, dear friends. So be on guard; then you
will not be carried away by the errors of these wicked people and lose
your own secure footing. Rather, you must grow in the grace and
knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All glory to Him,
both now and forever! Amen. 2 Peter 3:17-8
We can’t stand still; our faith must grow and evolve.
If we don’t, we fall away and our faith becomes extinct.
Faith Evolves You into a __________________
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new
person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! 2 Corinthians 5:17
I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles
among you because you obey the law? Of course not! It is because you
believe the message you heard about Christ. Galatians 3:5
In the same way, “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as
righteous because of his faith.” The real children of Abraham, then, are
those who put their faith in God. Galatians 3:6-7
For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all
who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like
putting on new clothes. Galatians 3:27
