We are currently interviewing for an experienced Human Resources Coordinator to support our
corporate office and restaurants and hotels. Reporting to our Director of Human Resources, you will be
responsible for providing support and coordination for a variety of human resource activities in support
of our Mission and in support of the company's goals and objectives. The scope of responsibilities
include HRIS coordination, recordkeeping, training program coordination, leave of absence
administration, intranet content management, onboarding support, employee relations, employee
recognition programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
 Responsible for timely and accurate data entry and maintenance of HRIS; new hires, rehires,
status changes, and wage changes.
 Partners closely with Payroll to coordinate flow of paperwork to meet payroll deadlines.
 Coordinate AB1825 training, Food Handling certification, Food Safety certifications, and TIPS
training.
 Coordinate Leaves of Absence with all properties
 Maintain current information on Moana411, our company-wide intranet
 Respond to EDD and SDI requests Responds to employment verification requests.
 Conducts candidate reference checks and pre-employment screening.
 Champion and support employee programs including our Wellness Program.
 Promote employee relations with employees at all levels.
 Respond to and refer all employee relations concerns in order to resolve issues and answer
questions.
 Maintain a high level of confidentiality and diplomacy involving sensitive matters.
 Coordinate special employee events

 Excellent interpersonal skills and abilities
 Outstanding computer skills with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
 Understanding of HR standard concepts, practices and procedures
 Proficient with HRIS data entry, maintenance, and reporting
 Strong organizational skills
 Ability to coordinate a variety of activities simultaneously and prioritize work to meet deadlines
 Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
 Detail oriented with strong follow-up initiative
 Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with a diverse group of people at
all levels of the organization
 Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
 Outstanding customer service skills


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
BA or AA degree in business or humanresources
2 - 3 years general administrative and human resource experience


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior restaurant or hospitality industry experience
PHR Certification or Human Resource Coursework Certification
