– Non poisonous butterflies mimic poisonous butterflies

Human Influences
• Deforestation: Humans needed space a
wood
• Rainforest trees: cleared for farming,
grazing, mining, and living space
• Many species are lost everyday
• Example:
– A single tree can have as many as 43 species
of ants on it
Medicine
• Most of the worlds medicine come from
the rainforest plants
• 120 prescription drugs sold worldwide
today are from rainforest plants
• Many of these plants are said to be the
next cure for cancer
