United Way of Forsyth County Position Description Functional Title Classification FLSA Status Reports To Team Purpose Director of Engagement Sr. Director of Engagement Strategies Engagement The Director of Engagement is responsible for the identification, cultivation, and expansion of relationships with targeted audiences that will deepen their connection to the UWFC mission and ensure a world class individual engagement experience. Mobile Phone Reimbursement Responsibilities, in priority order: 1. Provides internal leadership and is responsible for targeted affinity groups, including but not limited to, Women’s Leadership Council, Young Leaders United, and other high potential opportunity groups. 2. Accountable for an annual plan around volunteer engagement and experiences that allow stakeholders on a corporate and individual level to participate in the work that is outlined in our mission. 3. Defines and establishes goals and expectations for affinity groups with Campaign Division Directors around building deeper, more transformational relationships and increasing membership within their selected accounts. 4. Works with Vice President of Marketing and Communications to coordinate marketing efforts and oversee development of marketing materials for affinity groups and community volunteers across United Way. 5. Together with the Sr. Director, work to build understanding, capacity and execution of engagement work internally, successfully integrating engagement work into all UWFC departments. 6. In support of the efforts of the Volunteer Manager, speak to local businesses and civic groups about volunteerism and UWFC’s role as a source of both individual and group volunteer opportunities, confidently communicating to audiences of both of internal staff and external constituents. 7. When appropriate, participate in community roundtables and endeavors to expand professional network and increase awareness of UWFC’s mission and presence in the community. 8.
