RMYLC 2016 EXPECTED PRESENTERS DAY: Monday-Leadership MARY C. KELLY, CMDR, USN (Ret). A best-selling author and international speaker specializing in business and leadership development to improve efficiency and profits. A US Naval Academy graduate, she spent 21 years on active duty in intelligence and military base management. She lived in Japan, the Philippines, Hawaii, Vietnam, and Hong Kong and has traveled to 40 countries. Quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Money Magazine, Entrepreneur, Men’s Health, CNBC, and cited as the fifth most influential social media person in Colorado, she loves technology and leadership strategies that help people succeed. MIKE MCGRATH, Captain, USN (Ret). A Colorado native and US Naval Academy graduate who was shot down in June 1967 over North Vietnam and spent five years and eight months as a POW until his release in March 1973. His time at the “Hanoi Hilton” caused him to reflect deeply on the important aspects of American life. The 2016 Rocky Mountain Youth Leadership Conference welcomes him as its keynote speaker. DAY: Tuesday - Leadership ANTHONY TRIFILETTI, Brig Gen. USA (Ret). A West Pointer who has served in the Army for 30+ years. He first served t wice in Vietnam as a young combat officer and overseas in Hawaii, England and Germany. He commanded at every level from platoon leader to Brigade Commander as well as Commanding General of the Test and Experimentation Command. He earned a Masters in Operations Research and a second Masters in Industrial Engineering from Stanford. He served on the faculty at the Air Force Academy, West Point, the Army War College and the Armor School. MARK PFOFF. After a 20 year career as a computer engineer, joined the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office and became a Detective specializing in computer related crimes and computer forensics. For over 10 years he worked criminal cases to include multiple homicides. He has testified in court multiple times as an expert in computer forensics, cell phone forensics, child exploitation and criminal investigations. He recently retired from law enforcement and is working as a consultant specializing in computer forensics and private investigations. He has given multiple lectures on social media and technology. MARK EWIG, COL, USAF (Ret). Graduated from the USAF Academy in 1970 and received his Masters Degree in Middle East Studies (Arabic language) from the University of Utah. During his 26 years on active duty, his assignments, in the intelligence career field, included serving in Thailand during the Vietnam War, Strategic Air Command Headquarters in Omaha, Tactical Air Command Headquarters in Virginia, NATO in Germany and a Commander at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs. He also spent five years in the Department of Political Science at the USAF Academy. He is presently teaching at Palmer Ridge High School in Monument where he has been head of the Social Studies Department and teaches AP History and Economics. He won the Colorado Teacher of the Year Award. DAY: Wednesday- Free Enterprise MIKE DIAMOND, A superb teacher and was named Colorado's Outstanding High School Marketing Teacher (2001). He has lectured at the RMYLC for over a decade. He will present basic and advanced elements of the Free Enterprise System (certainly an important topic in our nation today!) to conference attendees. (DIRECTOR COLORADO DIV OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE ) Ms Smith is a long-time leader in the Colorado justice system most notably having served as a Fourth Judicial District of Colorado prosecutor for 22-years, eight of those years as the elected District Attorney. Since 2005 she has served at the Colorado State level as Deputy Attorney General in the Criminal Justice Section. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois College Of Law. Her presentation never fails to excite the students. DAY: Thursday- Leadership DAVE KELLER, LTC USAF (Ret). The Chief of Character & Leadership Education for the United States Air Force Academy. He is a Behavioral Scientist for the Air Force. He recently returned from a deployment to Iraq where he was the senior U.S. advisor to the Iraqi Air Force Academy, and later served as a Deputy Group Commander, where he helped guide the efforts of military personnel in eight locations across Iraq. He holds a PhD from Texas A&M University where his primary research focused on moral and ethical development of leaders. He has been teaching youth and college students for over 15 years.
