To Serve
We are committed to serving our community and
world! Where there is a need, LEO is there to assist
organizations, causes, and individuals see their hopes
become a reality. Some of our proudest
involvements, contributions, and /or initiations have
been:







Giving away thousands of dollars in
scholarships to SHS graduates.
Being top 10 in our district to raise funds
for Relay for Life, and being active
participants
Raising funds and awareness for Buckener
Internation, Family Hope Centers
Raising awareness and substantial funds for
the Rio Grande Food Bank & Mission Food
Pantry
Raising funds for Christmas gifts (needs) for
the Rio Grande Children’s Home
Assembling Personal Energy Transportation
Units for people in third world countries
suffering from leg disabilities
Collecting hundreds of used eye glass
frames to be donated to OneSight
International to refill and donate to people
with

Who need glasses
Creating family school festivals to celebrate
the culture of education and unity to raise
funds for scholarships
Involvement in Vida Verde Earth Day
festival to promote environmental
awareness
Visiting our local nursing home to validate
our senior citizens’ lives and importance
Participating in Feast of Sharing by
providing meals to the community and
Renee’s Thanksgiving meals

Spreading Our Influence Outward!
Currently, SHS is the largest and most outstanding
LEO club in the state of Texas. With the majority of
our own officers, being officers for the State of
Texas, SHS LEO Club works collaboratively with
other LEOs in Texas to make their club effective.
Last year, our very own prior Vice President Dana
Rodriguez got LEO Club member in the region,
the state, and in the WORLD! We certainly make a
difference. SHS LEO Club puts Mission, TX on
the map (of the world)!

Being in LEO means leading not only in our
city, but the state, and beyond!

Being in LEO means opportunities to grow
and receive scholarships!

Being in LEO means learning to network, lead,
continue your influence, and making a
difference!
