World Harvest Ministries' mission is to introduce Christ to others using common ground and to challenge Christians to a more enthusiastic
and exciting walk with Christ.
Tom Randall has been director of World Harvest Ministries since 1990. Tom orientates, trains, and takes building crews, medical teams,
and sports teams from the USA and Australia to areas of the Philippines that need help and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Toto and Bebs Luchavez are an integral part of World Harvest Ministries. Toto and Tom met when Toto was a caddy at a nearby golf
course. He soon became Tom’s right hand man helping with errands, preparation for ministry teams and then going along on the trips
and doing whatever needed to be done. He eventually became the director of our orphanage in Lucena City, Sankey Samaritan Mission.
He and Bebs are the heart of the work there. Toto still does preparation for teams that are coming, handles all the finances of World
Harvest Ministries in the Philippines, and is a wonderful mentor to the kids and dorm parents at Sankey. Luchavez’ have three children,
two of which are in college and the youngest is a high school student. All three love the Lord and willingly have worked alongside their
parents to make the kids at Sankey happy.
World Harvest Ministries has several key projects that are ongoing. They are:
Sankey Samaritan Home: Sankey is home to 48 children that have been taken in because of neglect or abandonment. The children go to
school at Cugley Christian Academy until they are high school age when they transfer to a private high school in Lucena City. We have a
few in college now, too.
Cugley Christian Academy: CCA is on the compound of Sankey Samaritan Mission and is where the children have gone to school until they
are ready for high school. Several years ago we opened up CCA to outside families if they wanted a private, Christian education for their
child.
Rizal Re-Creation Center: RRC is located about 40 minutes away from Sankey Samaritan in Rizal Town. It is a retreat center and camp
that hosted 28,000 people last year. RRC is run by long time missionary friends, Joe and Ruth Mauk. This is a wonderful place for
churches, young people, children, corporations, pastors, etc to come and be refreshed. Everyone leaves having heard the Gospel
message.
Mt Moriah Camp: Mt. Moriah is located on the southernmost island of Mindanao in the Philippines. This camp is run by a Filipino couple,
Glenn and Grace Ayala. They have been operating the camp for a number of years but the facilities are very inadequate. World Harvest
has decided to begin a project there to give the camp more opportunities to reach more people. We are just beginning the work on a
large dining room/ conference center, outdoor basketball court and cabins for use by visitors to Mt. Moriah.
