History of Artificial Intellegence
1956 John McCarthy coined the term “Artificial
Intelligence“
1960 Demonstration of the first running AI program, the
Logic Theorist (LT) written by Allen Newell, J.C. Shaw
and Herbert Simon (Carnegie Institute of Technology,
now Carnegie Mellon University).
1990’s Major advances in all areas of AI
2000 Interactive robot pets (a.k.a. "smart toys") became
commercially available, realizing the vision of the 18th
century novelty toy makers.

Conclusion
Since the term Artificial Intelligence was first used by a
John McCarthy (1956). There are been huge advances
in Artificial Intelligence. In today’s society AI has
infiltrated even the simplest facets of our lives
such as :
–
–
Having artificial customer service representatives help us
check our cellular minutes.
Troubleshooting with computer programs or help with online
shopping wizards.
I believe that in the future will we rely more heavily on the
use of Artificial Intelligence to aide us in our everyday
lives more so than now. Going towards an almost
symbiotic relationship with man and the ghost in the
machine.
