Islamic University of Gaza Faculty of Engineering Electrical Engineering Department Electronics (EELE 2305) Spring 2011/2012 Instructor: Jalal Al Roumy, MSc. Room: B261 Telephone: 2860700 ext 2833 E-mail: jroumy@iugaza.edu.ps ________________________________________________________________________ Assistant: Abdo Salah Room: B262 E-mail: abdos@iugaza.edu.ps ________________________________________________________________________ Course description : This course includes semiconductor-based devices such as diodes (ordinary and special), bipolar junction transistors (BJTs), field-effect transistors (FETs), MOSFET, and related components. Emphasis is placed on analysis, selection, biasing, and applications in power supplies, small-signal (and large-signal) amplifiers, switching, and control circuits. Upon completion, students should be able to construct, analyze, verify, and troubleshoot discrete component circuits using appropriate techniques. Practical applications are stressed. ________________________________________________________________________ Textbook: Electronic Devices and Circuit Theory, 9th Edition By Robert L.
