Effective Teachers PRIORITIZE by getting students TO WORK as SOON AS CLASS STARTS! GET IN ---- GET Started! Students need to know that when they come they have a ROUTINE to follow. GET TO WORK 3 things can help students easily get to work – They have an assignment ready for them – They know where to find the assignment – They know why they are doing the assignment Chapter 15 Starting class effectively involves getting students to work immediately. You can list, draw, or act out the method. You have. 10 minutes. Be ready to share! Role Call Cats Vs. Kitties Rules and Procedures: •Separate into two large groups according to stickers •A question will be read to you. As a group come up with an answer. •Only the group with all students raising their PAWS will be called •If you get it right, you get to choose where to drop your disc. •If you get it wrong, then the other group has the chance to steal. •We are going to take turns even though you get it right. • Cats will use RED disc and Kitties will use BLUE disc. •There are 8 columns and 6 rows. •The object is to connect 4 either diagonally, horizontally or vertically. •This game is similar to tic-tac-toe. •And remember have fun, no teasing the other groups, if it gets to loud we will stop the game.
