Who is Jesus to you?
“A man who was merely a man and said the sort of
things Jesus said would not be a great moral
teacher. He would either be a lunatic—on the level with
a man who says he is a poached egg—or he would be
the devil of hell. You must take your choice. Either this
was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or
something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool or you
can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us
not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being
a great human teacher. He has not left that open to
us. He did not intend to.” –C. S. Lewis
Mark 3:20-30
LORD?
Mark 3:20-30
His own people said that He was a Lunatic,
He is Crazy!
• He claims to forgive sins.
• He claims to be God.
• He calls men to follow Him and preach the
“Word.”
• He doesn’t work for a living but travels around
preaching.
Mark 3:20-30
The religious leaders said He was a Liar, He
is Evil, He is Beelzebub!
• If He was from God, then they would be
obligated to follow Him.
• If He was from God, then their system was
coming to an end.
• If He was from God, then they would be out of
business.
Mark 3:20-30
Jesus’ Response
• A Kingdom divided against itself
cannot stand.
• A home divided will surely fail.
• Therefore Satan would not go
against himself.
Mark 3:20-30
The Parable of the Strong Man
• Satan is the strong man, you are his
goods.
• Jesus is the stronger man, He saves
you from Satan.
