Changing Risk Landscape and Insurance Solutions

The Indian Insurance industry is at the crossroad of opportunities and challenges. Only a nuanced approach through
informed decision can steer the Industry, to widen its reach and disburse efficient services to individuals and
corporate. IRDA has been playing a commendable role in building a strong edifice of the sector -- recent regulatory
and policy initiatives have been highly encouraging. The policy thrusts will surely help the industry to reach out to the
rural & semi-urban segment through targeted products and protect the corporate clients from this volatile economic
scenario through appropriate risk solutions, effective distribution & efficient claim settlement mechanism.
Against this backdrop, CII Eastern Region is organizing “InsureInd: Changing Risk Landscape and Insurance
Solutions” on 18 December 2012 at ITC Sonar, Kolkata. The conference will analyse the expected impact of recent
policy changes on business and retail, key issues in life and non life segment which will have major bearings on
industry and individuals. The conference will have an Inaugural Session on Policy Dimension followed by Technical
Session I : Global Risk Scenario, Emerging Risk Issues and Managing New Realities – A Macro Perspective,
Technical Session II : Employee Benefits : Health & Wellness with cost balancing – a HR Perspective and
Technical Session III : Emerging trends in Life Insurance in India and Group Solutions.
