Curriculum
• Language Arts
• Students will read a combination of short stories
(anthology) and novels (Holes, Bridge to Terabithia, Tuck
Everlasting, etc.)
• Accelerated Reader logs: each student must read a set
number of books each trimester at their reading level
(determined by the AR system)
• Buzz words: fluency (wpm), comprehension, and accuracy
• Homework will be assigned four days a week
• Typically homework will include a crossword, word search,
cloze activity, or dictionary skills

Homework Club/Interventions
• Homework Club: Monday, Tuesday,
and Wednesday from 2:32-3:15 pm.
• Interventions will be held based on
student need. They last for 6 weeks
at a time and will alternate between
language arts and math.
P.E. and Music
• P.E.: Once a week (30 minutes)
• Music: Tuesday and Thursday
(70 minutes)
