San Diego City College Articulation Agreement:
Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies (non-credential track)
The USU Experience: USU students will have the opportunity to complete their Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degrees in an
educationally enriching environment in courses that are held 8 weeks long in duration. USU offers both on-ground,
hybrid, and online courses, making it easy for students to work and carry out life activities successfully while in school.
Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies: The degree in Liberal Studies provides students with the basic understanding and
skills to prepare them for careers or professions requiring knowledge based on the arts and humanities. The curriculum of
Liberal Studies is a plan that involves more than one discipline. The program fosters the understanding of people, nations,
institutions, history, arts, sciences, and how these influenced the development of society and cultures. Although the
breadth includes various areas of study, students are encouraged to pursue an in-depth study of history, artistic expression,
literature, scientific and technological advancements, intellectual movements, and traditions and customs of different
societies and cultures.
The BA in Liberal Studies has the following concentration: (a) History (b) English (c) Spanish (d) Single Subject
Credential Track (English & Math) (e) Multiple Subject Credential Track (History & Spanish). Students should meet with
USU educational advisor and identify required upper division courses in the academic plan for a specified minor.
General Transfer Information: Each transfer course must be completed with a “C-” grade or better. This agreement is
used in conjunction with the USU General Education articulation agreement. For the BA in Liberal Studies program, up
to 90 semester credits maximum can be transferable. United States University will accept IGETC or CSU GE for
general education pattern.
