TKAM VOCABULARY In order to both do well on your Vocabulary Test AND successfully expand your vocabulary, you will need to not just know the definition, but be comfortable using these words correctly in a sentence. To help, you will be working in groups to help create a presentation that teaches your group of words to the class... Working with your group, creatively convey the definition of the word via a presentation and visual aid page for each of the words given to you containing the following elements: 1. Write the definition AND the part of speech. 2. Write a sentence for each word that uses the word correctly and contains context clues. (For example – Mottled is an adjective meaning dappled, spotted, splotchy. In a sentence you could write: After Mom ate too many strawberries, her skin developed a mottled rash because of an allergic reaction.) 3. Draw a cartoon that illustrates the word OR incorporate the word into a drawing that illustrates the meaning. Use color and be neat. 4. Be ready to PRESENT your words in an entertaining, but brief minilesson – may include a mini-skit, song, mnemonic device, puzzle, etc. It is your job to make your words and their definitions memorable. 5.
