Welcome to AP Human Geography Mr. Sandefur 09/10 AP Human Geography is the study of people from a spatial (space) perspective. AP Geography, to put it simply, attempts to answer the question “why things are where they are.” Big deal. An A in Human Geography. That would be a D in any other country. Grading and general classroom information Grades will be comprised of tests (70%), daily work (15%), Quizzes 15% Class participation grades will be considered daily work. YOU WILL NEED A COMPOSITION BOOK OR A SPIRAL FOR NOTES AND QUIZZES. If you are absent (excused) you will have an equal amount of time to make up your work. Make-up tests and quizzes may be another version of the same test. Projects A project may be assigned roughly every other six weeks. Keep in mind that some projects may entail actually using your newly found geography skills and traveling around our region and becoming more aware of why things are where they are. Depending on how rigorous the work/research is, projects will count as a major test grade unless specified otherwise. Be aware that some projects may be created in a power point/presentation format.
