Painted Lady Butterflies Created by Mrs. Williams’ K5 class April 2010 Studying Butterflies • This spring, our class was thrilled to watch as our tiny caterpillars ate, grew and ate some more. We waited with anticipation as they changed within each chrysalis and became 23 beautiful Painted Lady butterflies. Getting Pollen Butterfleys bring pollon to flowers. We wished our little buddies well on their new journey. Oh, Stay… Just a Little Bit Longer One butterfly was a little slow to take flight. Stretching Our Wings Finally, this butterfly had to take time to stretch its’ wings and warm up to the new feel of the sun on its’ face!
