Fast Track Expectations Cohort Format Students will progress through the program in a cohort model; all of the classes will be with the same group of students. Cohort-based learning is beneficial because students will build a tight support system with their classmates. It also will provide students with a strong network of professional connections. Time Investment The Fast Track program is a full-time course load. Students will complete12-17 quarter hours per quarter. Students are expected to dedicate approximately 8-12 hours per week on instructional time, and an additional 20 hours per week on reading, studying, and completing assignments. The time approximations can vary based upon learning style. Length of Program The program consists of six consecutive terms with breaks in between select quarters. Fall, winter and spring quarters are 12 weeks in length and the summer quarter is 8 weeks in length. The length of the program is 17-19 months depending upon start term. The Curriculum The curriculum of the program is fixed. Students are expected to complete the program through the curriculum plan that is established. These courses are predetermined in a specific order for degree requirements. Transfer credit is accepted in a lump-sum conducting a course by course evaluation. Courses must be completed with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher for degree completion Technology Requirements & Books Students are expected to have access to high speed internet and up to date computer software. Students are required to purchase their own textbooks. Textbook information will be available at the time of registration via the bookstore website. The Fast-Track advisor will be the point of contact for any academic-related questions. Student Advising Each term, students will be registered for courses by the Fast-Track administrative team. The advisor will also communicate important information, such as academic calendars and available student resources. The Advising Office will monitor the academic standing of all students, tracking those on the Dean’s List and those who earn unsatisfactory grades. In extenuating circumstances students are required to contact their advisor to withdraw from courses or make any other changes to their enrollment status.
