UNIVERSITY HOUSING
University Housing’s mission is to provide comfortable, affordable and secure on campus housing options in
residential communities where the academic success and personal growth of residents are encouraged and
supported. On-campus housing is offered in a variety of living environments, including 7,600 undergraduate
students in 22 residence halls, 580 apartments for families and graduate students, Health Sciences residential
buildings and Greek Park residences.
WORKING TITLE: DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES
OFFICIAL TITTLE: DIRECTOR ADMINISTRATIVE
The director of facilities is responsible for the leadership, coordination and administration of all functions and staff
for facilities management in University Housing operated buildings. Responsibilities for the position include a
major leadership role in the implementation of the institution’s Student Housing Comprehensive Plan and shared
leadership in the departmental directors’ group. The department is an integrated structure that includes three
units: Facilities, Residential Programs and Services and Administrative Services and Communications.
Qualifications: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in higher education, management or a
technical field (engineering, architecture, construction management) related to facilities management strongly
preferred. Significant facilities and personnel management experience, excellent interpersonal, communication
and collaborative skills, and fiscal management and administrative experience are preferred.
