Knowledge and Experience:

At least three years’ experience of achievement in public relations is essential, with a
particular emphasis on media relations (ideally at national levels)

Experience of working in the charity sector and, in particular, supporting fundraising
activities, is highly desirable

Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills will be essential, as
well as a proven track record of securing case studies for public relations campaigns

Expertise in deploying creative and accurate copywriting skills, to a very high standard

Extensive experience of working across social media platforms and strong insight and
experience in building relationships with bloggers

Experience of interviewing on camera and producing strong emotive content

Knowledge of corporate charity partnerships

Experience of working with celebrities for PR purposes

Experience of working with camera crews and filming for a call to action

Experience of pitching stories from TV producers of primetime shows to local journalists

Experience of managing small teams of people
