SOL Review Practice Tests Online (JLAB)
1. Go to www.education.jlab.org/solquiz.
2. Select “Science 8”
3. Choose 40 Questions (Block 5- do 20 questions ONLY)
4. Type in your full name AND set number. For example, “John Smith, Set 1”
5. Select “Additional Options”
6. Select “Next Options Screen”
7. Make sure “All Years” is selected.
8. Select “Next Options Screen”
9. Make sure “All Strands” is selected
10. Select “Next Options Screen”
11. Choose the assigned Fixed Set # (Do NOT choose RANDOM ORDER!!)
12. Select “Let’s Start!”
13. After you have answered all 40 questions, (Block 5- 20 questions) select “All Done! How did I do?”
14. It will list the questions and allow you to review any you missed. Click on “Explanation Written” to
see why the right answer is correct.
15. If you are not happy with your score and want to retake the test, scroll down to the bottom of the
screen and select “Start over (with same settings)”.
16. E-mail the results to your teacher. Make sure you type the e-mail address in correctly and
choose to “send results!”

17. Email the results to yourself as well and/or save your recovery code in case your scores do not make it
safely to the teacher’s inbox.
This would be a good place to log the recovery codes!
