Jefferson Lab SOL Review Assignment Algebra 2 To prepare for SOLs and the final exam, you will complete practice problems from previously released SOL tests. This assignment is done on the computer. If you do not have a computer you may go to the library or an open computer lab before or after school. You will take each online quiz as many times as you would like by the due date and PRINT the reports to hand in with YOUR NAME INCLUDED! Counts as a 4th quarter quiz grade! Step-by-step instructions: 1. Go to http://education.jlab.org/solquiz/index.html or GOOGLE “jlab” and select the option that says “Virginia State Standards of Learning Science, Math and Technology” 2. In the box labeled “How many questions would you like?” Check “10” 3. Check “Algebra 2” 4. Check “More options please” 5. Check “All Years” 6. Check “Next options page please” 7. You will need to submit, at least one 10-question quiz from EACH of the strands by June 2, 2011: a. Expressions & Operations b. Relations & Functions c. Equations & Inequalities d. Analytical Geometry e. Systems of Equations & Inequalities f. Statistical Analysis 8. Check “Next Options Page” 9. Check “Random order” 10. Click on “I’m ready! Let’s start!” TAKE AS MUCH TIME AS YOU NEED 11. When you have finished taking the review, click on “All done! How did I do?” 12. On the Results page, TYPE YOUR NAME in the space provided. Then, click on “Add my name to this report, please!” 13. Then, print out the results page. Collect the six “quizzes” (one from each strand) and staple together. These should be handed in (for a quiz grade) by Thursday, June 2, 2011. After you have completed the 6 reviews you will do a final review by selecting 40 random questions from all years and all strands. 14. This final 40 question review is due on or before Friday, June 3, 2011 This assignment is graded entirely on accuracy. It is in your best interest to do well on the practice tests. You may take each strand as many times as you want – I will count the average of the 6 strands as a quiz grade. The 40 question review will count as a double homework grade.
