Cat’s Eye is about a bully named Cordellia who bullies her friends but in particular, her friend Elaine. Cordellia has two friends that just blindly follow her around and are bystanders to her bullying, and join in with Cordellia to help her be mean to Elaine, which makes Cordellia feel better about herself. 2. Main Characters: Cordellia, Elaine, Grace and Carol 3. Elaine thought that Cordellia, Grace and Carol were her friends, but they were really fake and were only there to criticize her and make her feel bad about minor mistakes. “All Summer in a Day”by Ray Bradbury 1. In All Summer in a Day students who live on Venus, judge Margot who came from Earth because she was "different." They locked her in a closet and left her while they went outside and played in the sun. In the end they felt bad and let her out. 2. Main characters -Margot -The student who locked her away, in the closet -William 3. This relates to the theme, To what extent do you really know someone because the students didn't know Margot but judged her. “This Boy’s Life” by Tobias Wolf Main Characters · Tobias, the main character · Priest · Sister James Summary Tobias goes to confession but gets nervous. He goes for a break before trying again. Sister James gives him cookies and milk and tries to comfort him. She tells him that she did bad things too as a child and that whatever Tobias did, it is not as bad as it seems to him and confessing will feel good. Tobias goes to confess, slightly modifies Sister James’s sins and confesses them to the priest. How well can you really know someone? ·Sister James did not know the boy would use her sins. · The priest did not know Tobias was lying. · Tobias did not know if Sister James was telling the truth or making it up just to make him feel better. Basically, the plot of this story is based on the characters not knowing one another.
