CERTIPORT’S 2013 MICROSOFT OFFICE SPECIALIST UNITED STATES NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Congratulations! Because of the exceptionally high score you received on your Microsoft Office Specialist Word
2007 exam, you have been selected to compete in Certiport’s 2013 Microsoft Office Specialist United States
National Championship in Park City, Utah, from June 11-13, 2013.
Should you accept this invitation to compete, Certiport will cover the cost of airfare, meals, entertainment, and
lodging for you and one chaperone to attend this exciting competition*. In addition to receiving a coveted
invitation to compete in this prestigious competition, semi-finalists will enjoy two exciting days of competition and
activities at the Lodges at Deer Valley in Park City, Utah.
To confirm your participation, please complete and return the attached student confirmation packet as soon as
possible*. Once received, you will be contacted by a Certiport representative to make travel arrangements. If you
are unable to attend, please let us know so we can extend the invitation to the next available student.
*Student Registration Packet must be submitted by 12:00 noon Mountain Time (2:00pm ET / 11:00am PT) on
Tuesday, May 28, 2013 to take advantage of this exciting opportunity!**
WHAT TO EXPECT
Top students from around the United States will travel to Park City, Utah from June 11-13 to compete in the MOS
National Championship in Park City. All semi-finalists will take a Microsoft Office Specialist exam in their
competitive track and undergo an interview with a panel of Certiport judges.
On Wednesday, June 12, Certiport will announce the Champions who will be invited to represent the United States
at the 2013 Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship in Washington D.C. from July 31 – August 3, 2013.
One National Champion in each of the following competitive exam tracks will be named:
 Microsoft Office Specialist - Word 2007
 Microsoft Office Specialist – Excel 2007
 Microsoft Office Specialist – PowerPoint 2007
 Microsoft Office Specialist – Word 2010
 Microsoft Office Specialist – Excel 2010
 Microsoft Office Specialist – PowerPoint 2010
