This remarkable weekend-long event features art Nelson Mandela created recalling the time spent in his cell on Robben Island, glass sculptures from the legendary Dale Chihuly, world-renowned abstract oil landscapes from Susan Swartz, and watercolor pieces by HRH The Prince of Wales, and more. His work is included in more than 200 museum collections around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art, the Louvre, and the Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art. Alexandra Hart – Known for her fine jewelry design and metal sculpture, Alexandra makes her work from responsibly sourced precious metals and gemstones. She has designed for Lagerfeld and Givenchy jewelry and works to promote the highest standards of quality and business ethics in the luxury market. Linda Lee Johnson – In the middle of a successful acting career she studied jewelry making in NYC from 1984-88. Her first pieces were sold in all Tiffany and Company stores in 1986 and today her jewelry is sold exclusively at Barney’s New York while her sculptures are represented by the Kelley Roy Gallery. Nelson Mandela – One of the greatest statesmen of the twentieth century, Nelson Mandela also had a vision for using art to help underprivileged children around the world. His drawings are accompanied by handwritten motivational texts that reflect his personal philosophy of showing grace and conciliation, without neglecting the past. Susan Swartz – Swartz explores landscapes through potent colors and richly layered abstract paintings. Her art is in private and corporate collections worldwide, she serves on the National Advisory Board of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, and she paints in Park City, UT and Martha’s Vineyard, MA. HRH The Prince of Wales – His Royal Highness captures the natural beauty of the countryside in his watercolors from locations around the world.
