Introduction
In Literature, your level of achievement will be assessed by
school assessed coursework, and end of year examination.
Your teacher will report your level of performance on each
assessment component as a grade from A to E or UG
(ungraded). Your mid year and end of year report will have a
global grade and an exam grade.
Unit 1&2
To receive an “S” for Unit 1 and 2 ALL school assessed
coursework (SACs) and coursework (board notes, journal
notes, questions, extended responses, practice SACs and any
other work given) MUST be completed.
NB: general coursework is not assessed.

writing with a particular focus; for example, ideas
and concerns, form of the text, author, time in
history, social or cultural context.
