Challenge: Need for standardized tools, reduced admin
workload, cost savings, greater integration on planning,
communications & services in delivery of high-quality
events.
Solution: Microsoft consultancy supported IT pilot –
Business Online Productivity Suite (BPOS).
Outcome: Tier 1 roll out – 25/58 countries Spring 2010 +
training workshops. Msft volunteering at Poland games
2010, Greece 2011.
Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher
Community MAR
• Non-revenue program; open to wide range of
organizations – including NGOs.
• Provides authorised refurbishers with Microsoft media
and special Certificates of Authenticity (COAs).
• Reduces the cost of obtaining genuine licenses for
refurbished computers - more affordable and useable for
eligible recipients
• Apply to be a MAR via www.microsoft.com/mar
Last year: 100,000 Win/Office licenses in 43 countries in Europe,

adult learners new to computing. DL is part of national MOUs,
endorsed by international NGOs, and in use in 200 countries.
The curriculum offers:

• 1 Digital Literacy Certificate Test
• Downloadable Instructor’s Manual
• Two Versions (Version I covers Office 2003 and Windows XP;
