Course Description
Course 2 Math will give your child a knowledge of and practice with 7th grade level math skills.

Student Expectations

7th Grade Math Grading and Homework Policy
Homework will be assigned nightly. Students will be expected to complete homework
every night. On the following day students will take a homework quiz, based off of
the homework problems completed the night before. Students will be allowed to use
their homework to complete the quiz. The homework quizzes will be worth 5-10 pts.,
depending on number and difficulty of questions. We will go over each quiz question
as a class.
Homework:

All students will use the same format for HW assignments

Students will write the original problem

Students will show all work

Students will show and circle answers

No name, no problem, no work, NO GRADE

If student does not show work, they will receive a zero “0”
Absences:
Being excused from an absence does NOT excuse students from the classwork or
homework. Students are responsible for getting the HW assignment and any missed
classwork.
A ONE WEEK deadline is given to complete all missed assignments and TESTS or
QUIZZES. If assignments test or quizzes are not completed within one week of
absence, the students will receive a zero, “0”.
Grading Policy:
Grades are determined on points earned from tests, quizzes, projects, homework,
power-ups, and classwork. These categories will be weighted as follows. Please see
handbook for more information.
