NZCMS has revamped it’s free quarterly Intermission, making it a useful resource for any church or group wanting to explore what it means to be missional in today’s world. It’s been so popular that they ran out of July’s edition within a week! Each edition looks at a missional issue from a variety of angles, helping your church or group engage with God in your community and beyond. The articles are now framed as springboards for discussion – they can be read at home or discussed over coffee or during a small group. The print version of Intermission is sent out four times a year. The same content is posted to our website and can be accessed at nzcms.org.nz/Intermission where you’ll find the latest articles along with a number of earlier editions that look at other important issues. The next issue will come out in September. Why not take up the challenge and start using Intermission in your group? At it recent meeting the Trustee of The Retire Fund decided that it would cease to offer Retire to new members effective from 17 September 2015. The primary reason for this is the high compliance cost of continuing to offer Retire to new people given the small number of new members joining in recent years, largely due to the popularity of Kiwi Saver and the significant amendments to the rules that would be needed. The decision will not affect existing members at that date and organisations contributing on behalf of those members. 14 Slipping the Moorings: Free study guide now available for group discussion, with discounted group purchase prices.
