Agenda: Continuous Quality Improvement in Quality Rating and Improvement Systems (QRIS)
Date: March 26-27, 2014

WELCOME
Desired results for the meeting:
 Develop trust and teamwork across Learning Table states
 Articulate state goals for the Learning Table
 Lay the foundation for Learning Table sessions
 Understand specific strategies of CQI in other systems (NAEYC, Head Start and school improvement)
 Develop a working definition of CQI (consideration as a standard, framework for TA work, etc.)
 Begin to identify what the approach will be to CQI in their state: their definition of CQI and their goals and strategies for implementing
CQI in their state
Proposed agreements for our work together:
 Be fully present and participating (please step out to use cells, tablets, laptops, etc.)
 One speaker at a time
 Confidentiality
 Speak your truth and listen carefully to others’ truths; it’s OK to disagree
 Trust best intentions and suspend judgment, valuing all contributions

Activities – prior to face-to-face meeting in Baltimore
o Meet with team, by phone or in-person, prior to the Baltimore meeting:
 Develop a poster presentation on your state QRIS system. Include anything that “tells the story” of your QRIS current reality,
including anything you have around Continuous Quality Improvement. This will be used to orient your fellow states to your QRIS
work and your efforts in CQI.
 Develop and bring your team’s CQI Learning Table goals to the meeting (what do you want to know, what are your big questions
and what do you want to learn).
 Review the Work Plan Template and complete the first section.
