Sand Hill Counsel, Gurgaon (5 weeks) – Worked on private equity deals and assisted the
firm with drafting of Term Sheets and Share Subscription and Shareholders’ Agreements for
several start-ups seeking seed funding from angel investors.

Tuli & Co., New Delhi (6 weeks) – Researched on Australian civil procedure laws,

and Code of Criminal Procedure, precedential value of non-speaking orders in civil appeals,
process and non-compliance with inspection and discovery provisions under the Civil
Procedure Code, scope of settlements in liability insurance policies, procedure for filing
complaint against private insurers and applicability of the Right to Information Act to
private insurers, power of private life insurers to advance loans, alteration of Articles of
Association of a private company, extent of rights of subrogation of an insurer. Prepared a
legal primer on company law and insurance law in UAE with special focus on the Dubai
International Financial Centre.

J. Sagar Associates, Gurgaon (3 weeks) – Worked on a variety of laws such as subcontracting in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts, research on
External Commercial Borrowings in the real estate sector, registration procedure for
manufacturing units under Export Oriented Unit (EOU) schemes. Assisted in drafting of
contracts and prepared legal opinions focussing on labour laws.

Desai & Diwanji, Gurgaon (4 weeks) – Worked on various legal issues including
including FEMA regulations, procedure and requirements for open offers under the SEBI
Takeover Regulations, the Export Promotion of Capital Goods Scheme, and stamp duty
applicable on slump sales in different states of India. I also assisted us in the preparation of a
detailed legal compliance report and ready reckoner for companies setting up wind power
projects in India. In addition, I authored and presented a research paper entitled “Vodafone
Case: A Stocktaking Exercise”, analyzing the recent decision of the Supreme Court of India
in Vodafone International Holdings B.V. v. Union of India & Anr.

PepsiCo India, Gurgaon (4 weeks) – Underwent training and assisted with research and
drafting work on transactional documents, indirect tax, environment issues, labour issues,
intellectual property claims, legal training modules, legal compliance advisories and other
legal activities related to fast moving consumer goods. Worked extensively with the IPR
team with respect to trademark and designs related litigation concerning Pepsi’s food and
beverage products.

Chambers of KTS Tulsi, New Delhi (3 weeks) – Undertook drafting of PILs, written
statements, criminal complaints. Researched on various issues in criminal law such as
disproportionate assets of politicians, encounter killings and contempt of court.

Talwar Law Offices, Advocates, New Delhi (4 weeks) - Visited the Delhi High Court,
observed the proceedings and drafted arbitration petitions and applications and conducted
extensive research in various fields of law.

Hazards Centre, New Delhi (4 weeks) - Conducted extensive field research on the effect
of Commonwealth Games and Delhi Development Authority’s malpractices. Prepared a
project report on the same.
