Dear School Families,
The leaves are beginning to change and the cool air is rushing in, this reminds us that fall is here and we
are transitioning into a new season. Transitions and change always bring excitement, joy, and wonder. It
provides us with an opportunity to look forward to the future and celebrate the day that God has made. This
week we celebrated the Blessing of the Animals and The Holy Guardian Angels’ Mass. Our students were
reminded that God is all around us from the tiniest creature to our Guardian Angels that we may not be able
to see but we know they are here to guide and protect us. I know that we live in a time that both parents
often have to work, but I encourage you to locate a special mass or any type of celebration of our faith that
speaks to your heart and join us at least 1-2 times out of the school year. 
Profession Learning Communities
Are you ever curious what the Faculty and Staff are doing on early release Wednesdays? We have formed
our Faculty and Educational Support Staff into Professional Learning Communities to collaborate with one
another regarding curriculum, instruction, and student progress. This gives us the opportunity to continue
to be the BEST learners, share with one another, problem solve, and continue to understand student
progress so that our students too can be the best learners. Recently we welcomed Deb Ritchhart from
Everett School District to train our teachers on the strategy Close Reading. This broke open our depth of
knowledge even deeper and we were able to walk away with more tools to better serve our students. Our
next trainer, Hannah Gbnero, will return to our school to provide Part II of our 21st Century Technology
Interactive Board Training. The Faculty and Staff are fully committed to being the best learners so that they
can better understand how to meet all of our students where they are at.
