20 points: If you fully and accurately answered
your question with specific details
5 points: Your question is partially answered
but some details are missing. Or you have
incorrect information present
Do you have 3 subtopics to help answer the
question?
10 points: All three subtopics help answer the
overall topic question. Theses subtopics are
clearly found in the paper by being divided
into 3 separate paragraphs
5 points: There are not 3 subtopics that can be
clearly found. Or the subtopics are found, but
do not connect or help answer the overall
question you want to know more about.
Were you on task?
5 points: Did you work to the best of your
ability and not interrupt your classmates?
0 points: You were not on task and as a result
disrupted others while they were working.

Works Consulted Page
5 points: You accurately have a works
consulted page that lists where you got your
research in alphabetical order
- 1 point for every improper cited work you
consulted. -1 if not put in alphabetical order.
Research Packet
5 points: The research packet is used and
filled out. You include the source of your
information and have 3 index cards filled out
per subtopic
0 points: if the research packet is not fully
used. -1 if an index card is blank or there is no
source for the information.
Spelling and Grammar
5 points: There are no spelling or grammatical
errors at all. You read your work and double
checked it.
-1 point for every 3 mistakes found. Mistakes
include spelling, capitalization, punctuation,
using the wrong tense (present v. past)
