2. Select a company from the list below (or select your own with my approval)

3. Find the company’s website (by using Google) research the company
4. In PowerPoint (create two –three slides) that describes “what your company is all about”
5. Research what your company is doing to promote its concern for the community. (For example:
environmental concerns, recyclable products, charities, cause- related marketing, etc.)
6. Now….the hard part you need to design an institutional magazine ad. Remember that institutional
advertising is defined as “Advertising whose purpose is to promote the image of a corporation rather
than the sale of a product or service; also called institutional advertising. This advertising is also used
to create public awareness of a corporation or to improve its reputation in the marketplace.” Based
on your research your ad should be designed to illustrate what your company is doing to be a good
corporate neighbor.
7. Create your ad using PowerPoint and be prepared to present it to the class.
8. First one to two slides will have the background information of the company and the third slide will
be your magazine ad
9. Final slide should identify what magazine you would run your ad in and why you chose that magazine.
(Be sure and think about who the target market is for your company)
