Field Equipment Technician Located in Virginia Beach VA, PAPCO is a leading petroleum supplier in the Eastern United States. We are seeking a Field Equipment Technician to join our dynamic team. Position Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of mechanical and electronic installation, diagnostics, repair and maintenance activities involving fuel tanks and computer electronics equipment used in supplying and managing our Customers’ petroleum product needs and maintaining on-board truck computer equipment for the PAPCO fleet of delivery trucks. Skills and Experience: Must have a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated, hands-on experience with mechanical and/or electronic technical support and service. Examples can include work in the mobile truck environment, computer services and/or telephone services. A background in electronics will be preferred. Must demonstrate good communication skills and a proven ability to work well in a fastpaced Team environment with co-workers and vendors, while providing excellent service to our Customers. Must be self-directed and be able to perform diagnostic, repair and installation work as scheduled by the Equipment/Service Department Supervisor. Must be able to read and follow basic technical schematics and manuals, engineering notes and follow written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). MUST possess a valid VA driver’s license. CDL with /Hazmat Endorsement will be preferred. This is a “Field Equipment Technician” position and requires that you MUST be able to work remotely (indoors and outdoors) at any time and travel within a specified geographical area in a company-owned service vehicle to perform the job requirements. The position resides in our Newport News, VA Terminal.
