creations from our local community with exhibitors of all ages.
The A&P Show is an excellent chance to exhibit your work, and there are some great prizes to be
awarded. We welcome your entries and look forward to receiving your exhibits.
The Home Industry Pavilion is open to view all exhibits from 9am on Friday 9th March 2014
Junior prize money can be collected on Friday between 4-5pm; all other prize money can be
collected between 4-5pm on Saturday and Monday 9-12 noon
All judging will take place on Thursday 6th March at 6pm

ENTRIES:
• Postal Entries to PO Box 79, Wanaka 9343. Closing date Wednesday 5th March 2014
OR
• Bring Entries to the Showground Pavilion to be processed from 1pm to 5pm, Monday
3rd to Wednesday 5th and 9am to 5pm on Thursday 6th March. Pavilion doors close
at 5pm on Thursday 6th March.
• ALL ENTRIES CLOSE AT 5pm THURSDAY 6th MARCH 2014.

ALL EXHIBITS ARE TO BE DELIVERED TO THE SECTION MARSHALL AT THE
SHOWGROUND PAVILION BY 5pm THURSDAY 6th MARCH 2014.

Entry Tickets are to be securely attached to the exhibit

Entry Tickets are to be collected prior to 5pm on Thursday 6th March from the
Showground Pavilion
Competition Information
•
ALL JUDGING will take place on Thursday 6th March from 6pm.
•
The Committee will not under any circumstance hold itself responsible for any loss,
damage or mis-delivery of exhibits at the Show.
•
Security staff will be on duty Thursday 7pm until Sunday 9am. The pavilion is secured
overnight.
•
Exhibits MUST be collected from 4pm till 5:30pm on Saturday 8th.
Or Monday 10th March between 9am and 12 noon. This is the responsibility of the
exhibitor.
Competition Rules
•
All exhibits must be the work of the exhibitor. This is an amateur competition.
Any exhibit that has been exhibited in a previous Upper Clutha Show is not eligible to compete.
Entries will not be accepted from commercial exhibitors.
•
The Judge’s decision is final.
•
The decision of the Committee shall be absolutely final on any subject on Show Day
•
No prize money will be given unless the prize card is presented fully intact.
•
Home Industry Prize Money can be collected from the Home Industry desk in the Pavilion
from 4 - 5.30pm on Saturday 8th March 2014 and no later than noon on Monday 10th March
2014. Junior prize money can be collected on Friday between 4-5pm
•
There is no limit to the number of exhibits you may enter in most sections. If there is a
restriction this will be stated.
•
Please read each section carefully.
•

Information Section of this schedule.
Admission to the Show: A two-day pass $20; One day adult pass $15; All school children free;
Members free on presentation of ticket.

Neither the organizers of the event to which these rules apply nor any agent, employee or representative
of these bodies accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners,
riders, spectators, land, vehicles, their contents and accessories or any other personal property
whatsoever whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract, or in any other way whatsoever.
NB. Under law it is not possible to sign a waiver which would protect a facility owner, farmer, employer
or other person from liability should an accident occur as a result of neglect to take all practicable steps.
The facility owner, local authority or farmer etc cannot “contract” out such responsibilities by requesting
a waiver of liability. All practicable steps have been taken by the organizers to ensure your safety and we
ask you to take particular heed of hazard signs that have been posted, and avoid these areas.
Children must be under adult supervision at all times.
