Welcome to Spanish 4 El Arte section of the year. In this unit
you will be exploring the different aspects of art. You will get to
look at different famous paintings by artists like Pablo Picasso
and Velazquez. Paintings like Las Meninas will be shown to you.
Not only will you just be looking at the painting you will also get to
examine the picture. You will learn how to name things in the
picture by saying right and left and center (izquierda, derecha, y
centro). In this unit you will get a chance to draw your own selfportrait and present it to the class, explaining each part of it by
using the vocabulary taught to you. The rest of this packet will
explain in detail to you exactly what you will be doing in the unit El
Arte.
