Principles of Private Law PROF. ALBERTO JARACH COURSE AIMS The course will explain the main principles of private law, highlighting goals, development and links of a systemic nature. COURSE CONTENT The legal system in general; the parties to and the subject-matter of the legal relationship; rights and obligations in the relationship; personal rights; property rights and rights in rem; community property; possession; the impact of time on legal relationships; aspects of the legal relationship in general; legal facts, acts and transactions; voluntary representation; contracts in general; withdrawal; termination; consumer contracts. Obligations in general; the classification of obligations; the elements of the relationship of obligation; change in the parties to the relationship of obligation; the extinction of the obligation; breach; the debtor's assets as general security and methods of preserving the same; sources of relationships of obligation other than contracts; unilateral acts; liability in tort and other sources of obligations under law; typical contracts linked to the principles of business law.
