Article 1156. An obligation is a juridical necessity to give, to do, or not to do
Requisites
1. Active subject - creditor/obligee
2. Passive subject - debtor/ obligor
3. Juridical or legal tie
4. Fact, prestation or service
Obligations are civil or natural
- Natural obligation are not based on law, but base on equity and natural law
- Not allowed to file action in court
- Voluntary fulfillment nalang siya

- Explicitly provided ng batas
- Ex. Obligations to pay taxes
- Contracts (obligations ex contractu)
- Law between contracting parties, should be complied in good space

- Lawful, voluntary management of the property or affairs of another without the
knowledge or consent of the latter
